Nicky Bullard Promoted to Chairwoman at MRM Europe
McCann Worldgroup strengthens its regional leadership team to drive closer collaboration across disciplines and markets for clients.
McCann Worldgroup today announced the promotion of Nicky Bullard to the newly created role of chairwoman, MRM Europe. This will be an addition to her current role as Chairwoman and Chief Creative Officer, MRM UK.
In her new capacity, she will be building even closer collaboration between individual MRM offices across Europe, with a focus on key markets in France and Germany. In addition she will focus on enabling MRM to work more closely with McCann Worldgroup to integrate the network’s multidisciplinary capabilities, simplifying access to specialist capabilities for existing clients and drive growth with new prospects.
Nicky was the first creative woman to become chair of a UK marketing agency, MRM UK. Since her arrival in May 2016, MRM UK has undergone a significant transformation in creative excellence, recognition and growth. The agency has enjoyed a raft of new business wins, including Three, Microsoft, British Land and Macmillan and also retained the Direct Line Group business in a competitive pitch. The agency’s emotive campaign for the Miscarriage Association won a Bronze at Cannes in 2019 and 2020 saw the release of its impactful work around domestic violence for the NO MORE foundation and UN Women. The agency’s latest awards haul was at the DMAs, converting 12 out of 15 shortlists across four different clients. Under her leadership the agency has also broadened its capabilities launching its new innovation lab, LAB13 to architect and prototype new products and services for clients.
Nicky is frequently sought out for her creative expertise and in 2020 alone she was invited to take on a host of judging roles including: Creative Circle – Direct Category Chair; Caples – Chair of Show; The Drum ABA – Chair of Show; DMAs – Category Chair and judge for Gerety; Campaign Big Awards and the One Show. She was also recognised recently by Creative Pool, ranking as number two chairperson globally and in the inaugural 40 over 40 – a ranking that acknowledges and honours the talent from men and women in a diverse range of industries and roles that make an impact.
Nicky has worked in her career across every media and sector – but direct and digital are her main passion. She believes insight is all and is hugely passionate about effectiveness – believing “it’s only great work if it works.”
